Vernier currently sells four different types of Heart Rate sensors, the Go Wireless Heart Rate, the Go Wireless Exercise Heart Rate, the Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor and the Exercise Heart Rate Monitor. All products use a Polar Transmitter Module, that supports Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transmission of heart rate data. If your device supports BLE, use this wireless option to collect heart rate data using Vernier Graphical Analysis. These heart rate sensors can also be used with LabQuest devices. If your LabQuest supports BLE, use this option to collect heart rate data.

The Go Wireless Heart Rate and the Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor both come with a set of Hand-Grips . The Go Wireless Exercise Heart Rate and the Exercise Heart Rate Monitor come with an Exercise Heart Rate Strap. The Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor and Exercise Heart Rate Monitor also come with a Heart Rate Receiver which allows it to be used with Logger Pro or Vernier Graphical Analysis if you have a supported interface. The Heart Rate receiver can also be used with the original LabQuest or LabQuest 2 models that do not support Bluetooth Low Energy.

If you add a Heart Rate Receiver to a Go Wireless Heart Rate it becomes a Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor. If you add a Heart Rate Receiver to a Go Wireless Exercise Heart Rate it becomes an Exercise Heart Rate Monitor. Please see the pictures below for each sensor.

If you have a Hand-Grip Heart Rate Monitor that has a white arrow next to the metal on the Hand Grips and red outlines of where to place your palms and fingers on the metal part of the Hand Grips, you have the older Hand Grip Heart Rate Monitor. This sensor comes with a Heart Rate Receiver and can only be used with an interface. It does not support Bluetooth.
