Yes, if you purchased your basic kit after January of 2015, you simply need the KidWind Basic to Advanced Experiment Kit Upgrade (KW-BUPA).

The difference between the 2015 version of the KidWind Basic Wind Experiment Kit (KW-BWX) and the KidWind Advanced Wind Experiment Kit (KW-AWX) is that the advanced kit includes the following additional parts:
· High Torque Generator with Wires (1)
· Motor Mount Pack (1)
· 250 ml Graduated Cylinder (1)
· Small Water Pump (1)
· 12″ x 1/4″ Clear Tubing (1)
· 16-tooth gear (1)
· 64-tooth gear (1)
These parts are available as the KidWind Basic to Advanced Experiment Kit Upgrade (KW-BUPA). If you wish to upgrade your KidWind Basic Wind Experiment Kit (KW-BWXC), you should purchase 2 or 3 of the upgrade kits for each KidWind Basic Wind Experiment Classroom Pack you already own.

If you have an older (before January 2015) KidWind Basic Wind Experiment Kit, you will not have the correct nacelle, the 8-tooth pinion gear, or the 32-tooth gear. You will need all of the following:
KidWind Basic to Advanced Experiment Kit Upgrade (KW-BUPA)
KidWind Nacelle (KW-NAC)
KidWind Gear Set (KW-GEAR)

In addition, the Advanced Wind Experiment Kit Nacelle (KW-AWXN) remains available.
