Spectral Analysis was previously available in two formats for Chromebooks: the Chrome Packaged App downloaded from the Chrome Web Store, and the Progressive Web App (PWA), reached through a browser URL.

Google removed the Packaged App delivery method in early 2025, so that all Chromebook users must now use the PWA.

The PWA runs in a Chrome or Edge browser. It is not compatible with other browsers because they lack the needed USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
