Because the Hang time and Jump Height channels on the Go Direct® Force Plate (GDX-FP) are asynchronus the program must wait for a period of time after data collection is completed to ensure it has all the necessary data.

You can collect Hang time and Jump height data without this delay by selecting End Collection Manually in the Data Collection Settings dialog. In this configuration, the data collection is stopped immediately after the Stop button is pressed.

You can also gather Hang time and Jump height data without data collection. Just select the channel(s) and have students step onto the force plate, jump, and step off the force plate. The next student can do the same. In this case no data are preserved, so you will want to note the data separately.
