Vernier Science Education no longer carries white light transilluminators or digital bioimaging systems, but the Blue View Transillumiator is still available.

There are several simple and affordable options if you need a white light transillumnator for illuminating and imaging gels.

• Use the camera on your smartphone as the digital imager or camera. 
• Purchase a simple USB Document Camera if you need a dedicated digital camera.
• Purchase a USB powered A4 LED based tracing light pad to illuminate the gels. These devices are very affordable and will come with a scale on the tracing pad you can use for analysis. See the image below.
