Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a non-profit that provides curriculum, training, and purchasing guides to STEM educators in high schools in the U.S. It has well developed curriculum for engineering, biomedical, and computer science programs. They have developed curriculum for elementary through high school. It is in thousands of schools in 50 states, and continues to grow. We are proud to include Project Lead the Way as one of our Strategic Alliances:

PLTW began using Vernier sensors (physiology and biology ) when they created their biomedical course. In 2011, they expanded the use of Vernier sensors into the engineering curriculum. They have continued to integrate our sensors and software into more and more of their curricula. They have transitioned most of their courses to use our Go Direct sensors (as of 2024). PLTW’s middle school curriculum is named Gateway. It uses KidWind materials in its Energy and Environment module. The elementary school program called Launch was piloted in 2014. It does not currently use any Vernier equipment.
