1. Perform a soft-reset on the handheld and try HotSync again. Sometimes this is caused by running Data Pro while connected to the HotSync cradle/cable. This interferes with any subsequent attempts at the HotSync process until you have performed a soft-reset on the handheld.
2. If this is the first HotSync attempted after loading Data Pro, try running Data Pro on the handheld once before attempting another HotSync operation.
3. When using the Palm Tungsten T5 or Tungsten E2 and syncing to a Windows computer, the HotSync manager that ships with those Palm models is recommended only for Windows XP and Windows 2000.
4. Always leave Data Pro and go back to the Home or Launcher program before placing the Palm in the cradle and initiating HotSync. Data Pro tries to communicate with LabPro as long as it is running. This communication may interfere with HotSync.
5. If a Palm Keyboard is installed, try uninstalling the keyboard software. If you are then able to HotSync, get the latest keyboard drivers and try installing the keyboard again.
