Jill Hedrick, a leader in education technology for more than a decade, was named CEO of Vernier in March 2024. Jill is a passionate leader focused on the intersection of technology and social impact, and she has deep experience serving both domestic and international markets. Jill’s introduction to education technology came when she joined Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA)—which, like Vernier, was founded by educators.
As the daughter of an educator, Jill grew up with a deep understanding of the importance and value of education. Her personal background, combined with her extensive professional experience, perfectly aligns with Vernier’s commitment to helping science educators create meaningful classroom experiences through hands-on STEM learning.
Vernier Science Education is owned by a Perpetual Purpose Trust, which is represented by the Trust Stewardship Committee (TSC). Current TSC members are listed below.
Vernier was co-founded by a science teacher. Many of us are former science educators as well. All of us are dedicated to supporting science educators—and if you call Vernier, you will speak to a real person committed to setting you and your students up for success. As Jill Hedrick, our CEO, says, “There is an explicit understanding in the organization that we are here to support educators and committed to creating meaningful classroom experiences in the sciences.”
