Once called vocational education and geared toward students who were not considered “college material,” career and technical education (CTE) has evolved into an educational approach that emphasizes setting all students up for success. Specifically, CTE stresses authentic, meaningful learning by giving students the opportunity to apply academic and technical skills in a contextualized fashion.
