Questions about Logger Pro Releases

Who should update to 3.6?

While we would always recommend you update to the latest version of Logger Pro, we understand that updating your school computers can be a challenge. You must update to Logger Pro 3.6 if you:

Use the Vernier LabQuest as a computer-based interface.
Are running Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).

Are there any other Logger Pro releases planned soon?

Our next release is planned for March 2009.

Does Logger Pro run on Intel-based Macs?

Yes. Version 3.4.6 and newer are Universal Binaries.

My IT people install software on my computers over the summer. What version should they install?

The latest release, Logger Pro 3.6.1.

Why are there so many Logger Pro releases?

We continually improve Logger Pro, adding new features and support for new hardware. Even if you don't use the new hardware, the new features (and a few bug fixes!) may be of interest to you. Besides, all updates from any version of Logger Pro 3 are free.

Do you support older operating systems such as Windows 98 or Mac OS 9?

Yes. Although the current version of Logger Pro may not be compatible with your computers, we have a version for you. Below is a list of which version of Logger Pro is best for each operating system.

Where can I find updates for Logger Pro 2?

Download the latest update to Logger Pro 2.

If you are using LabPro interface, and not ULI or Serial Box Interface, we highly recommend updating Logger Pro 2 to the current version. The $60 upgrade includes many new data-collection features, site license, and free future updates to Logger Pro 3.
